About the "Blue Screen of Death Wiki" founders

This site was created by two Computer Technicians. One has been a Network Administrator/Computer Tech. for 10+ years and the other has worked in the fields of Web Hosting, Computer Tech, and Help Desk for 10+ years.

Why we created this site

I'm sure that most computer techs have had similar experiences as we do.

You have a blue screen of death, or some other error, on a computer, with a cryptic error code.
When you do a Internet search on the error code, you get forum after forum of the following:

Some one has a question about an error similar to yours.
Three more people ask follow-up question requesting more information.
One person says that the solution is to get a Mac...
Then five more people chime in with advice that they may or may not have ever tried themselves, let alone know if it will even work.
Then, maybe, the original person with the problem will respond with the solution that worked for them.
Half an hour later, or more, you're still no closer to solving the problem that you are having.

Enter the BSOD Wiki

Our goal is to assemble just the problem and their solutions. Yes, there may be several solutions for one problem, but they will be solutions that actually worked for other tech support engineers like you and me. No more sifting through the forum void, just to find a bunch of untried recommendations.
